Hi—I'm Rocco, the founder and lead photographer and filmmaker behind Illume West Studios.

For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of capturing the world through a creative lens—producing images and films for national ad campaigns, professional portraits, lifestyle stories, and of course, unforgettable weddings and engagements. From intimate elopements to commercial branding shoots, storytelling has always been at the heart of what I do.

Creativity has been my compass since childhood, and photography and filmmaking have become the mediums through which I get to tell stories that truly matter. There's nothing quite like honoring a person’s or couple’s journey—documenting the chapters that define who they are and preserving them with honesty, beauty, and intention.

I believe photo and video are the closest things we have to time travel. They freeze the moments that shape us—those fleeting seconds that may otherwise fade, but instead become timeless. When the music stops, the cake is eaten, and the flowers have wilted, what remains are the images and films that retell the story again and again.
